Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification Resources Updated
The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) has updated its resources for wastewater treatment operator certification. The agency also announced new grant funding opportunities for watershed-based planning.
The NDEP provides comprehensive information for both current and aspiring wastewater operators through its shared bureau certification page. The program coordinates with organizations like the Nevada Water Environment Association and the Association of Boards of Certification to maintain professional standards.
In addition to certification news, the Bureau of Water Quality Planning is currently soliciting proposals for 319(h) grant funding. These grants are intended to support watershed-based planning and implementation projects that mitigate nonpoint source pollution.
These resources are part of the state's ongoing effort to support the professional development of the water workforce. By providing clear pathways for certification and funding for environmental protection, the NDEP aims to ensure high-quality management of the state's water resources.
