Dewatering Odor Management

Dewatering areas are a significant odor source requiring dedicated ventilation and treatment.

Enclosing dewatering equipment and ducting captured air to a scrubber or biofilter addresses the concentrated odor typical of cake handling and centrate/filtrate exposure.

Cake that sits too long in storage before hauling can develop additional odor from ongoing biological activity, making hauling schedule coordination an odor control factor, not just a logistics one.

Watch for: odor complaints spiking specifically during cake loadout, often addressable through improved hopper design or truck loading procedure changes.
